Door to Door magazine sale scam in Marin County

These charming young people came to my door to sell magazines in order to pay for their education. I'm in a terrible situation because of my health but I wanted to help, plus they were very convincing... A little too convincing. They tried to sell me 2 years worth. I backed out they sold me one year' s worth of a magazine for children which I donated to my friend who has a young child. She never got anything, today is 3 months later and I feel so foolish to have been so trusting when there was some warning signs. The girl was a fast talker and I'm $43 poorer. The company has no phone number but they have a web site to enroll young people to do this.
