To say the complaint I will have to tell you a story. My friend and I are both 16 years old and visited this store. While in there we decided to get 1 Lb. Of candy for his little brother. As we filled the bag without touching the candy we lifted the bag weighing it by memory of what a pound felt like because if we took it up to the register we couldn't take out of the bag. As we brought the bag up to the register we were prepared to pay for 1 Lb. Which was a ridiculous $15. There was a boy about 18 years old sweeping or something and he asked me how much it weighed, and I replied "About a pound" as if he was asking for my guess, and he asked my friend the same question. He put it on the scale and he said it weighed 4 Lb. S! As he said that this really mean looking woman came out and said it was $45 even though 4 lb. S would be $60 so they probably didn't have any kind of mathematical background. I replied "Sorry, but we thought it felt like a pound."

She said "Didn't you read the sign?" (It said the prices.)

I replied, "Yes, and I was prepared to pay for 1 Lb."

She then said, "Well you kids are big boys, can't you read?"

I then replied the same way. This went on for about 5 minutes. Then she said she would have to destroy the candy even though it had been untouched and the 18 year old took the candy out back. Then she told him to bring it back and made me pay $25 for it, thus spending all of my money.

So, my complaint is that a company shouldn't work on the assumption that a child or a body builder knows how much a pound weighs. My real problem though is how rude and abrupt this woman was to my friend and I because of a misunderstanding. I imagine that if we had our parents there she wouldn't have been so rude, but she assumed that because we were teenagers we were up to no good.
