I have been getting calls from a collection agency for about 4 weeks. They told me I had an outstanding balance at J C Penneys varying between $132 and $150. They will not send a statement. I have not used my gold card in almost 2 years because I was disgusted by the ripoff coupns os which are not usable in most cases. The account is now closed. This so called collection agency got my address on the first call. I refused to give my ss#.
After 2 weeks of getting calls 2 or 3 times a day, I talked to them again. They said they had lost my address. I said "Can't you keep up with things?". They have continued to call 2 & 3 times a day. I told them all I wanted was a statement. They told me that J C penney would not send one. They say they are going to ruin my good credit. I pay my credit cards off every month and owe nothing. I'm tired of being harrassed.
