Total ripoff-i could'nt even find me, and i'm not even hiding!

I was looking for a website to do background checks and searches for my business. I thought recordsarea.com looked like just what i needed. After signing up for the premium membership, within10 minutes i knew something was wrong. Immediately the website told me my searches were used up, but for more money i could have more. This was supposed to be unlimited. I sent an e-mail to the company but 5 days later i have not heard a reply. This is my first computer. I recieved it as a christmas gift and am still very new to the internet. With this experience, i doubt i will use the net to purchase anything else. Is this a common thing or was i just unlucky? HELP!
