Safe T, I was sold a faulty security system and signed a three year agreement and now I am being billed for things I did not agree to. I was completely lied to and mislead

I inquired about a security system from safe t systems on December 31. The salesman over the phone gave me a price of zero dollars installation and equipment cost in return for signing a 36 month agreement for monitoring. I had explained that I had a finished basement, three entry doors, and that I would need an additional motion detector. I also stated that I would have to have a phone line installed before I could get the system. The salesman said he would not charge for the wireless upgrade that was needed due to the finished basement and that there would not be an extra charge to come back out once the phone line was installed. He said it was the end of the month and if he could get my business he would honor that.

The installers came on Monday Jan. 5 and installed the system. They gave me paperwork to sign and could not answer any of the questions I had about that paperwork. It said on the contract 200.00 wireless upgrade if needed but at the bottom it said amount due 0. It was already signed and dated by the salesman on the 31st of December.

The contract also stated that there was a charge of 75.00 to come back out, (i.E. No phone line) and the installer said that if the salesman told me there would be no charge then there wouldn't be. I tried to call the salesman before signing but got no answer. The installers left without testing the system, and after testing the system myself, the motion detectors did not work, and there was an error code on the keypad. I have since been told I cannot cancel because the contract was pre dated to the 31st of December and that my three days had past.

This phone call took place the same day that I signed the contract and the same day the installation occurred I was sent an invoice for 1,200 that included the system, the wireless and an additional motion detector that is not even on the contract. They stated that without the monitoring I would have to pay the 1,200 dollars, and the only way they would come back and hook up the monitoring is if I paid them 75.00 and the 200.00 dollars for the wireless. I did not agree to any of that.

I would like for them to either come and get the system and fix any holes drilled or honor the original agreement made between the salesman and I. I also would like for the installation error or faulty equipment fixed.
