We were set up for orientation for a dedicated truck driving job for the end of november, called and told it would be the 8th of december. The day before we got a phone call telling us it had been postponed until after the 1st of the year, because the trucks ordered would not be ready until then. We had turned in our notice with the company we were driving for, that company agreeded to let us keep working. We came home for home time, i had to go to parris island s.C. For my son's graduation from the marines basic training the 4 and 5th of december. Enroute to s.C. On the 3rd of december i recieved a call to be in shreveport la on the 7th after 5 pm to check in to the holiday inn for orientation on the 8th. I called my husband and told him that he needed to go clean our truck out that the new job was a go ahead, he went on 5 december and cleaned our truck out. Saturday 6 december i got a rent a car to go to shreveport, la soon after i got a call that orientation had been postponed because the hotel reservation had been messed up, 2 hours later we recieved another call that it was a go. We then finished our work and the house packed the car because we were going to leave on the 7th. Around midnight we recieved a call from one of the other drivers that it had been cancelled. Icalled to confirmed and was told it had been cancelled, no explanation ask about the money we were out the response was that was not their problem. Until the 5th of december we had a job and were due a bonus within 2 weeks, now we are jobless with no prospects with times as hard as they are at the pesent time. 60 teams were suppose to report that day all are without jobs and out money for various modes of transportation to orientation.
