Reporting bogus arears to my credit bureau

My ex and I went to Court about three years ago to settle a dispute on who could claim our child on their taxes. Mind you I have NEVER missed a payment up to and since this court date. Before, I had a voluntary payroll deduction sent directly from my company to the mother so all records of this are on file. Mind you, there was never a problem.

As of said court date, DCSE has handled the payroll deductions and its been a nightmare ever since. The first statement I recieved from this office said I owed over $5000 in back child support. Then they said I owed a lesser amount and so on until I contacted enough people and was able to provide ALL the records showing that all payments had been made.

For about the last two years, I have been getting quarterly statements in the mail saying I was owing as much as $600 as of that statement's date. I called asking for an explanation as to how it was I owed ANY back support. The lady on the phone assured me that this was a minor flaw in the new way they did the statements and that all was well and by the time my last payment posted that my account showed as being current.

It wasn't till earlier this year that I learned my credit score was being tarnished as a result of this. I have tried to resolve this with my case worker and only got the run around.

I recieved my latest statement today and it shows that I am being charged interest for payments that have already been made! This government office has way too much control and not enough regulation. I am considering taking this matter to court.

Please be aware of the fact that even though you are told that an account is only showing behind at the moment, its being reported to the credit bureau!
