Awful everything

I don't know where to start.in our dear Spot chihuahua had an ACL surgery on her left hind leg which we paid $1500, then an additional $200 for "rechecks." Spot's limp never went away and soon enough, she stopped walking and began to whine from pain. We spent $80 on Tramadol which the doctor prescribed. Spot began spacing out and vomiting. I new something was wrong with this medicine and went back to VCA. They said to come back when she is off the medication and so I did. I saw 3 doctors there who all said that nothing was wrong with her leg! Then, the receptionists said she needed surgery on her right hind leg and she would send an estimate. I never received an estimate because the receptionist was delusional—there was nothing wrong with her right hind leg. I then took Spot back when she was off the medication and the surgeon said the wire in her ACL surgery had come loose and that she needed surgery again. He wanted to charge an additional $500. I got them down to $300 but after the surgery they wanted to charge another $200 for "rechecks, " which they never mentioned before the surgery. I researched the outside surgeon, Dr. Bruce Barrett and found that he had a citation for "unnecessary" surgery and another write up for performing another procedure wrong. Mind you, most people do not report what happens to their dogs, these are the only two that were reported and I will be the third. I am really worried that Dr. Barrett had done the surgery wrong and the second attempt to fix his first attempt was unnecessary. Also, I called to confirm an appointment which the receptionists said my sister had canceled which was wrong again. Also, the receptionists have no problem telling you that there are no doctors available or to call back. Finally, they tried to charge me for X-rays that weren't even taken. WARNING: Don't trust anyone at VCA. They are a corporation and as with all corporations, they don't care about you nor your dear pet—they want money only for their shareholders. The receptionists are delusional.
