COUSINS USA Moving & Storage

This company was hired for three hours at 30th September to move furniture from Sunrise to Ives Dairy, the distance is about 17 miles. Three men showed up with a truck, after looking at the house they said it will take more then 3 hours to move everything. We noticed that the three men were not much interested in moving but complain and talk. We were at the fourth store with elevator which was three doors away.

Their truck was park about 20 feet from the elevator. But they just were not moving any thing. At that point we started moving the boxes ourselves to help them. The heavy item list was

Love seat,
entertainment set
king size bed
queen size mattress set without frame
buffet
small china cabinet
two armoirs
one small desk
one book shelve (very light)
one medium size rug..
Two small tables
a few misc pieces
lots of boxes mostly small size..
A dining room set with 6 chairs and table
one unit washer and dryer

Some large toys pony, doll houses,

From 1: pm until 2: pm nothing was really moved, at two thirty the people came upstairs and said there was no way they could move every thing at the same day and he has going to make another charge to the credit card in addition to $345.00, he demanded the credit card. My question was why were they not moving? Why was every thing sitting still inside the house? We called the office and authorization on CC was still effective. Still in advance they took more money out.

I told the movers they should do their best to move every thing to the truck and then see how much extra time is needed, they spend 30 minutes for the credit card argument two men stood out side and one argued to " get our credit card and run it again"

We were four people and we started moving with them. All together we were seven people three overs and four of us... Moving but every thing was still sitting up there on the fourth floor. Then they went to Mc. Donald for almost 45 minutes. Afterward they came back it was 3: pm by now, and they moved as slow as possible, only one man came to the house to move furniture and two stayed by the truck downstairs. My son and I moved things by the elevator.

To my amazement the only mover who was upstairs was calling my son to help him, not his buddies who were downstairs standing by the truck. I asked him why are you the only one upstairs and the other two are not here to help you his reply was they need to put things in a "SPECIAL WAY IN THE TRUCK, THAT IS WHY THEY CANNOT COME UPSTAIRS...

My son, I and two other family members started emptying the house to the elevator but still nothing was really moving because I did not had a cart and quite frankly I am not a mover but we all were taking the boxes to the elevator.

Finally at five thirty we asked them to leave to the place, they arrived at the apartment at 6:30, there was on and off light rain (light shower) they refused to unload the truck and said they donot want to unload it in the rain.

Then one of the mover said the security man has prevented him to move because now it is seven'o clock and security man wants them out of the complex. They took the furniture with them to the storage for over night and blamed it to security.

We asked security and they said they never asked movers to leave since they were already in the complex moving the furniture. According to the security man the movers could have been stay until late to finish the moving.

Second day movers showed up with the truck and demanded additional money they refused to give back the furniture until they got paid first.

At that moment they were told no more money! You lied regarding the security man refused to unload the truck, and now you want to get paid for two days?

Well, to make the long story short the moving charged $575.00 dollars instead of $345.00 dollars and refused to give back the furniture until the amount of $575.00 was paid to them.in order to get the furniture back money had to be paid.

We had to hire another truck to finish the moving..

I asked the company they need to return half of the money but according to company manager they fired "THOSE MOVERS" and will not reduce the charges..
