ALMOST Ripped Off! Watch out for these slick willys! Victimized many consumers

Boy am I glad I researched this firm before handing over the $5500 they want to tap the so called hidden market. I was recently laid of from a multi-billion dollar financial services firm working in the I.T. Dept as a senior technical lead.

I have been looking for I.T. Work here in northern California for over 1 year, I knew of the impending layoff long before it happened. Bernard Haldane, specifically Carolyn Schlosser, Sr. Vice President Marketing, pumped up my ego to the point that I was thinking she could do no wrong.

I asked to see the training facilities and was shown a small conference room. I asked to meet my prospective counselor, the subject was changed each time. I was asked for my marital status and age. I was told I lacked focus but everything else was top notch.

OK, I sold Real Estate for 12 years, I know when someone is holding back information. They almost had me when they offered me a written guarentee that I would find employment or my money would be refunded after 10 months.

But the guarentee only says I will accept a position, no specifics. Does Burger King qualify I asked. She laughed and again insisted they could tap the hidden job market. I asked for documentation. She showed me copies of client reports, glowing of course.

Now the test. Give me a name and number of a recent client who was placed in an I.T. Position paying over six figures here in northern California. Nope. But she did tell me of someone she got hired at Bank of America last month in a job that pays $1,000 a day! What a load of *&^%$#@#@!!

I am one of the lucky ones. I almost believed thier story. I was even going to ask my father to lend me the money. DO NOT answer their ads or fill out anything on the internet. These guys are scum!

Oh yea, I almost forgot, if you do go to meet with them, look them in the eye and see how long they look back at you. Make them sqirm for once. It's too bad companies like this still exist.

I had my wife read the brochure and the paper they give you bashing head hunters and recruiting firms. She told me she could not find anything of worth. OK, head hunters and recruiting firms can be deceitful but they don't charge you major bucks up front.
