I used the service Credit Attorney for a few years to clean up my credit report. During this process they are required to look at your credit reports every few months so they can follow up on items they disputed on your behalf.

I found out after 6 months they had not checked any of the online credit report services I had provided to them (at my cost) which means in turn they weren't really working on my case file. I was paying them $59 a month to do my disputes and case file work and come to find out nobody, not one person was following up on the reports that they require you to provide to them!!!

After months of emails proving this was not done and months of arguing with them they then promised me they would credit me for 5 months of service at $59 a month refunded back to my bank account. After waiting two months the credit never came.

I then had to argue and call them several times looking for the credit. Turns out they are now arguing with me that they are going to credit me each month for the service in general, not going to give me an actual refund as they originally promised. How convenient for them, as they don't work on my case anyway and they in addition get to inadvertently keep me as a customer another 5 freaking months!
