Rip-off deceptive company with false promises stung me for $299

For many job seekers like me this Ad sounds pretty good. So i called and arranged an interview. I was interviewed by a mr: charles f logan.

I had a great interview, or so i thought. He told me that Total security worked as loss prevention agents in a number of stores like... Sachs 5th ave, neimee marcus, to name a few. Mr: logan then told me about the job as in what you do as an agent. He asked me what hours i could work and how much i wanted per hour, uuummmmm

Still sounds good, so anyway i gave him my requirements and he proceeded to read my resume. I have over 5 yrs in the security business, which he said i would be on the higher pay rate between $12 & $15 per hour because of my experience and that i could apply to be a supervisor after 90 days.

He told me that the benifits were FREE! Yes free and that they would work to fit my schedule. WOW! I really thought i had hit the jackpot with a good company but how wrong was I. He wanted to know about my family and told me about his, to keep me in my good mood.

He told me that i would get a lifetime certificate after i completed the required course. The course was $299 and a farce!

Like any upstanding person i paid for my course and thought i had a good job here. I was willing to start asap. Mr: logan gave me his card at the end of the interview with another mane on the back, he told me when i finished my course to call "ADAM" to get certified.

I enventully got certified 5 days later. I was given a certificate that any 10yr old child could have printed from thier computer! However i still felt a little nervous as i had'nt filled out any tax forms yet. So anyway "ARRON" was the guy who so called certified us he told me that we really did'nt need the cert! We could just walk into any store and fill out thier application for a job. He told me that i did'nt BUY a job and gave me a phone number of yet another girl i was to call to get a job.

So as i sat in his office very annoyed, thinking of the $299 i just spent on a computer printed cert and then being told to call someone else to get a job! I was under the very good impression that i would be working for total security directly. At NO point during my interview with mr: logan did he tell me that total security was a "job placement asst" company.

I could go on with the GORY details of my phone experience trying to actually get placed in a job, however i just get more and more angry when i think about it.

I hope the people who read this will benifit from the experience i had with this company and never get fooled the way i did. If any company asks you for your money up front i highly recommend that you RUN! Run! Run!
