Showcase Resorts is a SCAM

Shops, Products, Services

Showcase Resorts offered us a written money back guarantee that they would sell our Florida Timeshare within 360 days or they would refund our one time fee of $1200.00. They failed to find a buyer within the 360 days and we submitted our request for refund following the rules as stipulated in the contract. After submission of the refund request we received a call from a Mr. David Medley of Showcase Resorts stating that he was the new boss. He offered an apology for the way our account had been handled and asked if we would accept a 90 day extension of our contract to allow him time to finalize negotiations with a large corporation interested in a block of Timeshares.

David Medley persuaded us to accept two additional 90 day extensions of the contract each time we requested our refund. Shortly before the third 90 day extension was due to expire we faxed Mr. Medley a letter with all relevant documents under FAX cover sheet stating our disappointment and disbelief that they were even trying to sell our timeshare, and a demand that they refund our $1200.00.

The official request for refund was mailed through the U.S. Postal system, as registered, recipient signature required within 72 hours of the 90th day of the third extension which was 28 August.
Showcase Resorts has not responded to our Faxed letter at all.

Subsequent phone calls to Mr. Medley have only been answered by a receptionist or other employees stating that he is in a conference and will call us back.
A call to Mr. Medley on 3 September was answered by an employee named Patrick who relayed our message to Mr. Medley. Mr. Medley refused to speak to us and told Patrick that we were done, that our contract had expired and that no refund would be given. We are now in the process of presenting all documentation to a lawyer for filing suit against Mr. Medley and Showcase resorts.
