Com, Kohls Huntsville, Alabama False Sale Prices

I received an e-mail from Kohls.com, which I receive weekly. I immediately browsed "All ad specials available online". This view has pictures of all sale items with pricing. I noticed "Student Lounge Dish Chair" Original price $69.99 on sale for $4.99. When I added this item to my virtual shopping bag so that I could purchase on-line, the priced stated that the item was $34.99. I called the Customer Service # 866-887-8884 and spoke to Angela. Told her the problem... She talked to her supervisor which said it was a mistake & could not sell to me at that price. I ask to speak to a supervisor & she said she would get her to call me back. I waited a few hours, then I called back & spoke to supervisor, Greg Best. He told me the same thing.

I then browsed Ads by areal store, which I had to input local zip code... Address of Kohl's store for this area appeared with same ad store "Student Lounge Dish Chair" Original price $69.99 on sale for $4.99. I printed the local store sales ad and went to the local Kohl's store in Huntsville, AL. I spotted the same chairs that were in the add. Two employees helped me carry 6 chairs to the front register for check out.

When the clerk input one item, her register showed $34.99 ea. I then showed her the ad; she agreed that I was right and she would correct it. One of the clerks that helped bring the chairs to the register, immediately called the manager. The manager told me that unfortunetly it was a mis-print and he couldn't sell the chairs to me at that price. He said he wasn't obligated to honor the on-line ads according to corporate office. I showed him the ad, which plainly had his store address printed on front. He was not nice about it, but told the clerk to let me have them at $4.99 ea.

Isn't there a consumer law concerning this type advertising? By law, doesn't Kohl's have to let me buy this item at advertised price? Please let me know...
