Smart Shopper Inc & Rina Helmstetter (Representative): Deceptive & Manipulative, Bad-Mouthing Their Advertising Customers Since 1980! Frenchtown, New Jerset

I feel that Smart Shopper Inc. And particularly their representative RINA HELMSTETTER are very deceptive and manipulative. When RINA HELMSTETTER came in to my business to sell me advertising space in Smart Shopper Magazine she made it very clear that the business that I have (small engine repair) will get a very good response if I advertise with Smart Shopper. RINA HELMSTETTER specifically told me that she several has other small engine repair shops that advertise with Smart Shopper and they get "a huge response" from their ads. After I started advertising with Smart Shopper I came to find out that RINA Helmstetter LIED to me about having other small engine repair shops that advertise with her. I have also recently found out that RINA HELMSTETTER has be attempting to slander my business as well as other local businesses that are CURRENTLY advertising in Smart Shopper Magazine. One of my employees was in a local business when he happend to see Ms. Helmstetter and heard he speaking with the business owner. The business owner had told Ms. Helmstetter that he was not interested in advertising with Smart Shopper. RINA HELMSTETTER asked why he would not advertise, and he said it was because he had heard several complaints about the magazine and the high pressure sales. She became irritated and said, "Who did you hear that from, that roller rink, or that pharmacy?" He replied "no." She then said, "Oh that small engine repair shop?" Ms. Helmstetter went on to tell him that my business will "NEVER" get any response from Smart Shopper Magazine because her reader are not looking for my type of service. After I was informed of this situation by my employee I became very upset. RINA HELMSTETTER's entire sales pitch to me was that this magazine is for my type of business. RINA HELMSTETTER, in my opnion, will tell prospective customer's whatever they want to hear in order to deceptively gain their business, and Smart Shopper Magazine does nothing about this to stop it. I will never advertise with Smart Shopper Magazine ever again. My best advice is BUYER BEWARE!!!
