Dangerous product, ripoff, ineffective

We have a serious complaint about Mr. Clean Magic Eraser pads. Not only are they ineffective in cleaning when used as directed, they are also dangerous and result in a burning rash and/or a generalized burning sensation and pain covering large portions of the body. It is not necessary for these pads to even touch the body for this rash or burning/pain to occur.

The packaging states that they are to be used in a well-ventilated place. The warnings are innocuous on the packaging which states that the pads are 50% stronger for heavy duty cleaning. (Comment: 50% stronger than what?) The MSDS on these pads reveal that they are melamine-formaldehyde polymers with a proprietary structure and that sodium bisulfite is also a component. None of these per se would be cause for ventilation concerns. Apparently, there is some other component used in such small amounts that it can cause "problems" while, at the same time, being below reportable levels for MSDS requirements as components.

Warnings on the packinging refer mostly to usage directions. This material is a real hazard and a total rip-off of the consumer, which it places at risk for some really painful sequelae.
