Identity theft / FORGERY / Fraudulent use enabled through Blair Catalog

I had a Blair account that I CLOSED and paid in full in 2002.in December I was shopping online, checked into the Blair website to look around for Christmas ideas. I created an account, and how odd... One was already created with my name and information. It even had a credit limit of 400.00 and it had been used! Then address in my account was in Pennsylvania, so I jotted that down, as well as the phone number. THEN, I changed it to my address. That way I'd get the statements to see what the charges were and what was bought and hopefully by whom.

I Called Blair. They closed the account. A customer service rep and I located where the items were shipped, and by whom, and EVEN that payments were made from Pennsylvania via money order, with my name forged on them. Keep in mind now, I live in Washington state.
I contacted trans union, experion, etc, and they contacted Blair... Because yes this had late payments that effected my credit! The issue was solved, it was removed from my reports, and all was happy.

So I thought. Got a statement in the mail from Blair. They even called me. I hit the roof. They ALLOWED THE ACCOUNT TO BE REOPENED by the same stupid woman that frauded me in the first place and says she is me!!! I am still fighting with this company, as they decided they need yet another police report, and are doing an investigation into the account usage.

8 months later, massive amounts of time and paperwork and dinged credit THAT COULD BE AVOIDED IF PROPER VERIFICATION IS USED!!! How hard is it? They have my signature, vs. the forged one! I mean how stupid can anyone get? I hope if any one has ever had a problem with Blair they contact me. I am ready to open a lawsuit.

Please also note, I am venting now, and have not yet called anyone at Blair stupid. But I cannot contain myself much longer.
