Second bad B2B business deal with this guy. AMS (Franklin) is a one man show freight broker, working the yacht transportation industry. First contracted boat delivery with his outfit took him 6 weeks to consummate and it was a small boat on it's own trailer Sarasota, FL to Laredo, TX. During that time another movement Texas to California came up and we agreed to give him a shot at it. Sent him $5000 deposit and on the supposed Thursday pickup date he started in with excuses... Said he's get on it Monday. WTF? Our customer would have none of that, so we informed Franklin we would investigate other options.in 30 minutes we found another firm who would haul the load and be there for pick up in 12 hrs which was the next (Friday) morning. We left AMS multiple voice and e-mail messages saying sorry they couldn't consummate and therefore breached contract, all in a congenial but professional manner.
End of story, no return contact from AMS (Franklin) except for one e-mail sent on the following Tuesday saying AMS sent a driver/truck all the way from California to Texas for pick up. Nobody heard or saw the California driver at the Texas pickup location. Our response to AMS' (Franklin's) e-mail was if you waited to tell us this 5 days later, after leaving many messages saying we got the transport was handled, we believe you are falsely stating facts and nonetheless, please return our deposit.
Facts:
AMS has kept our $5000 deposit.
AMS has no federal MC (Motor Carrier) license.
AMS has no Oklahoma or federal freight broker's license
Ouir lawsuit is pending in state and federal courts
AMS has done this to other individual consumers as well as industry businesses.
Don't let this company (AMS) or it's owner (Franklin) RIP YOU OFF!!!
