This turned out to be your typical "Bait and Switch" program. It seems that even when one participates in the "Product Test Program" and receives an incentive gift, or in my case a $50 gift card, that there is still no remedy. Once activated, I tried using the card for an online purchase and was rejected by the financial institution that the card was suppose to be purchased from. After contacting the bank to check the status of the card, I must now wait several days before I will know if the card is worth it's value. This and other internet scams are the reason I pursued this particular one. It was advertised on a legitimate magazine's web site of which I am a subscriber, therefore I have contacted the magazine to inform them of this ad. I have also made several reports to the F.T.C. And the F.B.I. And the Consumer Fraud Reporting Agency. This is my attempt to expose any and all of these types of internet fraud to the public and the proper agencies. I now have made it a personal quest to "seek and destroy" these types of scams which preys on the susceptible and unsuspecting people of the world. We as consumers should join in this fight and start reporting each and every spam/scam to the proper authorities. Copy and send them to the reporting agencies and to the Federal Bureaus that can pursue and apprehend these criminals and administer the proper punishment. Consumers, rise up and protect yourselves from these criminals and turn them in at every instance.
