Lured by supposedly interested persons as a Standard Member. Upgraded to Gold and emailed members but received no response. Spijker 55 B9,2910 Essen, Internet

I signed up using a free account to HornyMatch.com to test whether it was worth subscribing. Immediately I started receiving winks, many times from the same individuals. Next the winkers escalated the contact with emails asking to meet. One went so far as to write she was traveling through my way on a certain weekend and wanted to meet in a public place. I subscribed shortly after the last person emailed me.

I began immediately answering the messages I had gotten from the ones who had written wanting to get together and those who had winked at me as a Standard Member. Nothing. Ten emails sent to me and no one would respond when I was finally able to contact them. The ones that had repeatedly contacted me? Nothing. Many times their profile information would read, "Online." Never a reply.

Finally I wrote one of the more presistent ones, asking if this had been some kind of scam to increase membership? (I knew the answer to that one!) No reply. I voiced my concerns with the company and quickly turned off auto rebill, but they've already scammed me out of over $70 for a three month membership. That's another thing they did, billed me for more than the actual amount on my Credit Card.

I wrote the company asking why the profiles were so incomplete and why other states came up when searching in Georgia? The profiles look as though some of them were done by persons who had run out of things to write. Some only had the race and gender filled in and a curt line. They didn't entertain the bogus profile question, but did say the locations were off because of the server who handles that. (Whatever that means!) It occured to me very late into the game that the emailers were aware that as a Standard member I could only contact them if I upgraded. It was a brilliant scheme on the duper's part.
