BBB in CT ignores consumer consumer complaints

The Connecticut chapter of the BBB is totally useless. They have reduced themselves to a bureaucracy that will completely ignore the merits of a consumer complaint entirely.

They will file a dispute as "Resolved" when it is a legitimate dispute from the consumer that has most certainly NEVER been resolved!

For instance, I filed a complaint against a roofer who did shoddy work and caused several leaks after install. No proper management for the project was given, and they cannot even tell the homeowner what protective layers they put on! Dumb! Additionally, when I notified Landmark Roofers in Connecticut of the leaks in March they 'dragged their feet' and stalled until July to finally come to my home with a sour attitude to attempt to fix the leak.

The continues to this day, and they refuse to honor their warranty.

I finally filed a complaint with the BBB.

They not only did NOTHING but actually took the side of the bad roofer and sent a bogus letter stating that their supposed "investigation" shows that the company was fine in their behavior.

Outrageous.

This BUREAUCRACY is nothing more than a fronting-organization to make the community feel good that there is a supposed independent organization to be a watch dog... But the reality is that the BBB is simply in existence for itself.

The BBB has no purpose. It frequently ignores or downgrades any complaint about a business, and actually turns AGAINST the homeowner.

They need to be publicly exposed for their own unethical and illegitimate business practices and PUT OUT OF BUSINESS.

They are, in reality, a bad business' best friend.

Beware and stay away from the BBB. Do not waste your energy or time on writing to them.

Focus on filing a report with your state Department of Consumer Protection as well as the complaint. Take action legally if you need to, but center your efforts on organizations that can actually help the consumer.

Goodbye to the BBB. "Usa Consumer Complaints.com" is what they really are.
