SanDisk
Rebate Scam El Paso Texas

Shops, Products, Services

On May 17 I mailed my SanDisk rebate form in for the rebate of $50 (specifically the Gift Cheque Offer) for purchasing three extreme III SD 2GB memory cards (purchased from Adaroma). I filled out the form and sent the three originial UPC Bar Codes as required.

Today I received a postcard indicating that I did not include an original UPC from the qualifying SanDisk product. That is pure baloney!!! I do not have a copier, so there is no way I sent copies. I cut the bar code off the packing and enclosed it with my rebate form.

This is such a scam. They get the original barcodes from you, but tell you they did not, and for you send the originals in for the rebate, knowing full well you cannot do that since you no longer have the original ones. They do. I am so angry. I thought SanDisk was a reputable company. Apparently not. I wrote them a letter back, to their place in El Paso, TX, I also sent a copy of m letter to the Corporate office in Milpitas, CA.

I may not hear back from them, but at least through this forum I can let others know about this scam, and from what I have been reading on this site, it is not the first time with this company.
