Ripoff swindlers have $99 of my money and refuse to return it to me

This nightmare began around the end of October. I received a promotional email for "free installation" of a Dish network system through a distributor (VMC Satellite) and followed up on it.

I find out later I could have gotten a system with no up front out of pocket expense. I am currently between jobs so I was in a position of cancelling this luxury or to go without electric service. I have called A MINIMUM OF 15 times to determine the status of my refund. Everytime I call I get a different story. I was told that checks are "cut" every Wednesday and they have had 3 opportunities since 11/2 when my system was installed to return my money.

They were fully and completely aware that a refund was due me by the many calls I made to them as well as the notice of cancellation. I have documented names of people I have spoken with and have filed 2 complaints with the Denver BBB.

It is unacceptable and unprofessional on their part that the situation is what it is. After doing some research on the internet, I have discovered that this is a standard practice of theirs by the volume of complaints issued against them for related "offenses". This is a pattern I do not want to be a part of. It did not take them almost 3 weeks to take the money OUT of my account so there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for taking this long. I get the feeling that they have no intention of reimbursing me for the money that is due me, which makes them common thieves.

I don't think I am asking too much to expect some competence, expedience and diligence in getting this situation resolved. I have *NO* intention of backing down until I get the money that is rightfully mine.
