I retired in November and was looking to open a small businessto supplement my income. I saw an advertisment from Tele KingCommunications on a National Television News channel and called.

I wasoffered a business oppurtunity in the phone card business and wasprovided an informational packet and video. I spoke with a John Maginnis for several hours over a period of a week and decided to make a purchase into the business and did so on December 13.

Maginnis certainly paints a rosey picture and makes statements
concerning the business that are lies. He leads one to believe thatare going to be a distributor of Tele King in a specific territory and that a person will earn his money back tenfold. Tele King is careful not to put any of the verbal promises in writing and althoughtheir selling practices may or may not be illegal (mail fraud) they are certainly unethical.

After Tele King Communications received my $11995.00 they no longerwere interested in providing the services advertised or promised. The products purchased were delivered but were defective, Talking Phone Card Displays have a defective chip and do not operate as advertised and promised and are worthless, phone cards are defective and do not provide minutes advertised, disconnect, and are well below industry standards which has caused me to refund cost of cards to customers.

Tele King Communications was made aware of these problems
and have yet to replace the defective displays. Cards were replaced at my expense on shipping although I was promised reimbursement through additional cards to pay for shipping which I did not receive. The replacement cards still have problems operating as advertised and remain in stores unsold. I have expressed my concerns to Tele King through letters and phone calls but have received no response.
