Preferred Readers Service
Subscription to Popular Science a scam, paid $39.60 for 36 issues, magazine did not receive money

Shops, Products, Services

In September and October, I was solicited by Preferred Readers Service by telephone to renew my subcscription to Popular Science magazine. I mailed a check to them on Nov. 19 in the amount of $39.60 for 36 issues. When I called Popular Science on April 25, I was informed that they are not a representative of their publication and that they had not received the money. I tried calling Preferred Readers Service, but their telephone number 623-934-4949 in Phoenix, Arizona is not longer in service. Scammed for $39.60!!!
