The Silly Sisters / Sarah Cowan
The Silly Sisters, MWEWade defective CUSTOM MADE gown. Refused to fix. Has gown AND OUR MONEY!

Shops, Products, Services

We ordered a CUSTOM MADE, 18thc. Style gown last fall. We had a long and detailed fitting, in an identical gown at their studio on Dec. 20. Delivery of gown was promised in March. We paid IN FULL, prior to delivery.

The gown arrived on April 3. IT DID NOT FIT PROPERLY, and had several other defects as welll! We contacted Sarah immediately, and explained all problems. We also pinned the gown to fit, took extensive photographs of the defects, etc., and returned it to her.
Despite REPEATED phone calls and emails asking her to please alter the gown, she had consistently refused to admit making mistakes in the cutting and construction of the gown, or to do proper alterations! IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE, CUSTOM MADE GOWN.

In addition, it was ordered well in advance, and needed for a special occasion the end of April! Needless to say, the event is TOMORROW, and we have no gown and no money!

At present, she is in posession of BOTH THE GOWN, AND OUR $543.50!!! We have emailed repeatedly requesting a full refund of our money, and have been ignored.
We have JUST retained a lawyer, and a lawsuit is imminent against Sarah Cowan, and Silly Sisters.
We would strongly recommend that NO ONE do business with this person! This has been a completely miserable experience. No one should have to go thorough this.
