Carpet cleaning for 1350 dollars instead of 49!

This company phoned me and offered a carpet cleaning for 49 dollars and I accepted.

The carpet cleaner came and first tried to clean a small part of the carpet with water steam. That did not work on the spots. He said that he had to use strong chemicals and then the price suddenly went up to 1350 dollars!!! I said that it was not possible. He started to bargain with me and I felt so pushed so when he offered the cleaning for 675 dollars I agreed.

When I wrote the check he wanted me to write it in his name because he had bought all the chemicals with his own money!

I know it sounds stupid. How could I do this? But I had stayed home because of him, I had removed a lot of furnitures and I felt so pushed by him when he was arguing with me.

Dont ever turn to these swindlers! Shame on you State Carpet Upholstery & Drapery Care!!!
