Do NOT go near this company RAD KIDS in Agoura Hills!
They are a big scam! Yes, they gave us a "invitation card" in our local mall and stated that our kids may be right for a TV show. They had no website for us to look at and no information on the company. We are very edcucated people so this was a concern but, we didn't want our kids to miss out on anything either. Well, when we go there, there were literally hunders of parents there with their kids. We spoke to many of them. We all thought we were auditioning for a "TV SHOW" but we were all a bit skeptical.

Their pitch was many companies contact them for children for casting but... Here's the pitch we nneded to layout thousands for pictures and classes before we could even meet a casting director. And, alot of us had young babies, portfolios and classes for young babies? Seemed very fishy.

Well, it was a BIG waste of time. Many of us were NOT about to spend $3500 or more on pictures and classes for young children. And, after researching this, I found many agents do NOT require this and NO AGENTS had even herad of RAD KIDS and thought it was very suspicious they were located in Agoura Hills. Well, it get even better. We spoke to one of their "talent scouts" that give cards out in the malls. She also said she was mislead on what the job was. She thought she was scouting for an actual VH-1 Show, and she said the "scouts" are paid a commision on how many parents they get to the audition. She had no idea they were actually selling portfolios and classes. She was shocked and said she was quiting that day! RAD KIDS has been in business for 1 month!

Can you believe that? We didn't mind spending a bit of money to do this, we understand, it takes money to make money, we're not stupid, but, a portfolio for babies? That's a total RIP! And, my husband and I think the way their getting parents to their offices is very misleading, and also illegal.in CA, it's called bait and switch and against the law. All they do is try to "slam" parents for portfolios. They people nned to be exposed and that's why we're writing this... To WARN other parents of their SCAM!

Also, the owners of RAD KIDS used to also own other SCAM companies called Debonair Marketing AKA: Commercial Scouts AKA: Artists Promotions and Marketing, Inc. AKA: O'Brien Rottman Talent... ALL SCAMS owned by people involved in RAD KIDS!

Our suggestion? Run the other away and also notify the mall you were scouted at about this company! The malls do NOT allow this unless the company has been pre screened and kas a kiosk or something. The mall we were at has receieved several complaints about parents that werer scammed by RAD KIDS and MELANIE SCANLAN!
