Readers Digest
ReadersDigest stimulated me to sign up for free gifts and then stated billing

My story is almost similar to Ken's.in January I signed up for free 12 issues of Readers Digest for a one-time $2.00 processing and handling fee, offered by BizRate.com and received my first copy in February. The first copy came up with another offer for a free gift. However, once I completed the registration for the free gift, I realized that I had made a mistake as I was left without any contact details I could use to contact them or cancel my membership. I emailed BizRate.com which being the middle party had introduced me to Readers Digest. I did not get a response from the BizRate. Thereafter, Readers Digest sent me two story books in packets in March and April, labelled as "free gift". Now it has come up with a bill for $26.74 payable by April 24.

Quite surprisingly, the billing statement or other enclosed papers reflect no means of contact other than the payment address. The Digest's attemtp to conceal contact details not only in shipping materials but also on web site is suggetive of the game being played.
