Did not deliver on promise

I went to credisource in Sept. 07 at my husbands urging. We paid them about $800.00 to basically send dispute letters for the two of us. To their defense I was told by at least two of their employees that this was work I could do myself. I like so many other people did not want to invest the time and energy to dispute items on my credit report. So I was ok paying for their services. However I was told that my credit score would be at least a 650 in six months.

It is over a year later and it is still not a 650. Dispite the fact I followed their advice by restablishing credit and not charging over half the limit and have paid on time. I did not have $2500.00 worth of debt on my credit report. I had about 12 small accounts under a hundred dollars each and one account that was $500 and another at the time that was $1000.00, Their dispute letters got five of those accounts removed from my credit report and all five did not total $180.00. The remaining accounts are still on my credit report.

There was a promise to meet with us monthly to discuss our progress. I had two meetings with these people after they took my money once to pull my credit report and other for them to tell me they were closing my file. My husband had only one meeting which was the initial consultation. He declined to go to the exit meeting because he felt they had done nothing for us by the way he still does not have a 650 and his credit situation was better than mine. To my understanding credit repair businesses are not to take a fee before services are rendered. I paid upfront and did not get all that I was promised.
