I contracted this company via Internet... Actually thinking it was a company that had moved us in October. Same phone number & same Relocation Specialist by the name of Kimberly Carson who negotiated terms of contracts for both moves with me. The final estimate (quote sent to me by email) was for $95.00 deposit, $641.25 balance due upon completion of move. I contracted for 3 men, 1 truck, for 6 hours move from San Bruno to Redwood City, (16 miles). I advised we had 3 bedroom apartment, & 1 pick up at Public Storage for approximately 40 boxes.

The quote was for $735.00 including transportation charges. The movers loaded as much as they could in a truck, leaving 1/4 of the move in the apartment building hallway unwatched, unprotected while they left San Bruno for Redwood City. That trip should take approximately 30 mins. But the movers did not show up for over 2 hrs with no explanation for the delay. When they finally arrived in Redwood City they unloaded only a couple of pieces & then all of a sudden the driver said they would not unload the rest of the truck nor would they go back and pick up the remaining furniture etc left
in San Bruno. He demanded immediate payment of $6,700.00 instead of the $641.00 owed.

It was such a shock. During the next two hours we spoke with three different men, the second one offering a 20% discount for a new total of $5300. He said if I did
not pay, my furniture and personal belongings would be taken to his warehouse and "I would never see them again. I refused and finally someone named Ron Bar called and after another half hour bullied me into agreeing to pay $3000.00 so that I could get my possessions out of their hands. The additional $2500 was for using this company's "packing materials". I did not authorized them to use their packing materials, my stuff was already packed & boxed. They unpacked, repacked, unboxed and reboxed without my authorization. There was no need to do this except to inflate the final cost. It is not
customary to bubble wrap furniture & not use the 30 blankets, brought but not used I was told by Mr Bar that at any time if I refused to use their packing materials they would have vacated the job immediately. If this is not misrepresentation and extortion I don't know what is. I have reported this incident to CPUC, the Better Business Bureau in San Jose, and the San Mateo District Attorneys office. I hope this dishonest company is put out of business. They turned what should have been a very happy day into a nightmare.
