On 11/15 I had a visit from one of the employees of Universal Gas and told me that they had a contract with Consumers Energy to keep winter gas low, so he had me sign a form and said that they (UG&E) were going to contact me right a way. They contact me on 12 I don't remember the exact day, but they told me that if I decide to cancel it I was going to receive a letter and more information and that from the day that I receive the letter I had 30 days to cancel it. I didn't get the letter until 02/23.
I call them on 01 to tell them that I didn't want to get enroll and that I never got the letter so they sayd that I was already enroll and that I would have to pay 250.00 for the cancelation fee. Now they sent me a cheque for 50.00 and a letter saying that they made a mistake with my enrolment but I still have to pay the 250.00 for the fee. So if they made a mistake why do I have to pay the fee? I havent cash that cheque and I'm not going to because I don't want any more trouble. I'm a veteran, I have a baby and I'm not working right now, so how I'm I supose to get the money to pay them? Well I hope someone hepls me. Thank you.
