They ruined my watch

January. Dropped the watch off for repair. I was told they would call in 10 days with the estimate. After calling them twice during the second and third week of not hearing from them, I paid them a visit. I was given the usual stall tactics and left with the assurance someone would call the following day. (This is now a month) The following week they call not with an estimate but saying my watch was repaired.

As I inspected my watch I noticed the sweeping second hand was missing. The manager had no answer, literally... He shrugged and handed me my watch. I paid the repair bill of $170 and asked for my detailed invoice, which I was told they do not provide. I fired off emails to their parent company in Ohio and the BBB. The BBB got results.

I just got off the phone with the manager who reinterated that they don't give out the invoice because they need to add their cost and they don't want the customer to see the actual amount of the repair. He read it to me though! Yay! I feel better... Not. He also offered to send my watch back to their facility so they can check and see whether it "has a second hand". I guess this is all I can get.

So meanwhile dear reader, stay out of J.B. Robinson... Warn your friends and neighbors. Oh, by the way, I'm not sending it back by them. I'll find an honest mom and pop watch shop somewhere and lick my wounds.
