I first heard about support kids on one of my local radio stations. I called the toll free number to get some information. I told the individual I spoke to I was not prepared to use their services as of yet. The Supportkids rep insisted I get started right away, as if after not receiving support in a year and a half, a few days would make any difference. I didn't use their services right away. Then I receive a letter from Suppportkids that include a testimony from one of their previous clients. The lady claimed she was helped in about six weeks. So I decided to try their services.

Needless to say, I had to provided them with most of the information. After a year nothing was recovered. I contacted them and they had made absolutely no progress on my case. I had already contacted my local state child support recovery agency prior to using Supportkids. I know the state agency can take years. The Supportkids rep assured me before I signed up they were experts and they could surely recover the back child support sooner than my local state agency would be able to.

Well my local state agency was able to recover some of the back child support in the same amount of time that Supportkids was able to acheive absolutely nothing. And for a nominal fee of $25. Unlike Support kids who wants to charge $375 plus 34% of your child support payments.

At the beginning of last year, my ex husband had sent me his employer information. About two months later, Supportkids sent me a letter stating they had located him and I should be receiving child support payments.

Nevermind, He had already reported the child support order to his employer before they even contacted me. And my ex-husband is still behind on child support. They want to take 34% and I still don't have the back child support. Supportkids made misleading promises to me and they did absolutely nothing to recover any back child support. I'm receiving current child support payments, but my ex-husband is still thousands behind and the money is steadily accruing interest. Supportkids are not supporting kids, they are stealling from them.

Anyone who is reading this. I can't stress this enough. Do not use the organization's services. They can not do anything more than your local/state child support recovery agency. Government agencies can provide the same services in the same amount of time for a whole lot less.

Supportkids has several complaints against them registered with the Better Business Bureau. The local radio station I originally heard the initial advertisement stop promoting their commercials shortly after airing them. I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commision who is currently investigating them.
