Better Way To Move
Added hundreds of dollars of packing fee's

Had obtained services of "Better way to move" moving company to move possesions from Ca. To In. They gave me a price of $735.00 to move me (the amount to move min. 1000lbs.) On the moving day they arrived 3 hours late, I had made arrangments for a friend to meet them there due to the fact i had to be in indiana on the day of the move, they arrived late and loaded up my belongings which had already been placed outside for there convenence. I was told they would call me with the exact weight (I had no way 1000lbs) i received no call on Tuesday, I actually placed a call to them which was never returned.

On thursday i received a call at approx 5:30 est. From a employee of the moving company and was told my items were to be delivered tonight. At the time they placed the phone call i was also notified that i owed approx. $1500.00 due to packing materials used. I had everthing packed for them with the exception of 4 pictures and a box spring and mattress.

It should also be said that on there web-site the include packing blankets for free. To keep this a little short phone-calls went back and forth and spoke to 3 employees, the last being "Ron" who described himself as the owner he stated that the items were still in California and i could come pick them up for $3000.00. I asked him "how could they both be in Ca and also being delivered to my house in Indiana all in the same night?" his response " are you saying that they will not be delivered tonight?" You draw your own conclusion to how i responded. At this point I have no clue as to where my belongings are, and how much they are actually going to charge me, i feel they are holding my belongings hostage.

I actually signed NO contract with them, I have a copy of the shipping est. Which states $735.00 and as it stands right now they are not giving me my belongings until i sign a contract which states im ok with paying almost $1200.00 for them to deliver my goods. Please help!
