Choice Promotional Group, CAM Advertising, Visions RIPOFF SCAM! 12 hours of door to door sales!

Shops, Products, Services

While submitting multiple resumes to multiple firms, I recieved a call back from Choice Promotional Group inviting me in for an interview. Before I went to the interview I made sure to Google the company to check them out. I did not find anything negative, vague at points, but not negative.infact I even found them discussed in Reuters (Only now I know that press release was fake), amoung a few others.

I went to the first interview, I figured this could be what they proclaimed—a new marketing firm setting-up shop in a new location. Because business has done them well apparently and they are expanding. But, I also had the word SCAM in the back of my mind the whole time. I decided that I can't be sure until I at least check it out.

I walked into a business that logoed 'CAM Advertising' on the door and a black Audi with Maryland plates on the first parking slot (Im in PA)— (hmmm, I thought this place was called Choice Promotional and why is the staff from Maryland?). So I entered being very observant, the first thing I was greeted with was booming rap music, boosting explicit lyrics. Their were 3 other individuals in the lobby their seated (all professionally dressed and serious looking college aged individuals). The SCAM staff were all very young (20's), good looking and fashionably dressed. The interview was real quick, and the interviewer "Josh", never gave you much of a chance to speak let alone ask any questions. He told me I'd know by around 6:00 if they would like me back for a second interview.

That was that and I was out the door, and a few hours later I had a message on my voicemail from Tara at CAM/Choice (whatever) congratulating me that they would like to have me back for an interview. I knew this deal was really fishy, I even consulted with my mom about it, but regardless I still attened the second interview, I just wanted to rule out that I wasn't passing up a potentially good opportunity for stereotyping a circumstance of a comany and assuming they were scammers when they really weren't (You ever think about that, that would suck if you blew off some company as a scam and found out later they were for real and yeah...).

So at the second interview, which I was told will be from 9-6 and it will consist of an introduction to the whole company with an account executive—they did state sales were involved but only for training—however they make it seem like the kind of sales is real corprate sales, not door to door.

Anyway after sitting in the lobby awaiting to begin the 2nd interview, I was joined by another girl their for the same reason as I. I took note that the staff memebers walking in and out were all so young and the females were tall thin blondes with 5" heels and gobbs of make-up— (This looked more like a photoshoot than a interview).

About 5 min later a young guy walks in and sits down, after overhearing his conversation with a staff member he mentions this is has first day. After we were left in the lobby alone, I asked him what the deal is with this place—he told me its all door-to-door sales. Thats when me and the other girl looked at eachother and left. These people need to make an honest living!!
