Bad Haircut and Even Worse Customer Service

Ok so on New Year's Day 2008 I went into the Smart Styles at my Walmart to get my hair cut. I walked in with a picture of the cut I wanted cut out of a magazine. I signed in and sat and waited for 30 minutes while one girl finished a perm on someone and the other girl kept taking people ahead of me who hadn't signed in but just walked in.in between her doing all of this she was busy chatting with some guy who was hanging out with her at work!

Finally she called my name and I told her that I wanted a shampoo, cut style and blow dry. She washed my hair and took me to her work station. I handed her the picture and asked her if she could do that cut? She said yes. I was thrilled. I said to her BEFORE she started cutting that I did not want all of my hair to be cut off since it was past my shoulders. I just wanted it just above my collar bone.

She turned me around away from the mirror and started cutting. When she was finally done she turned me back around and all of my hair was gone. She had cut so much off that it was up to my ears. Not only that but it was NOT the cut in the picture. I asked her where the picture was and she said she didn't know.

Fas forward to today 1/8/08. I went back this morning to talk to the manager. She sat me down and pulled out her scissors. I told her that I was NOT letting anyone cut anymore hair off of me and that I wanted a refund. She said that since I didn't have a receipt (which the girl never offered me or gave me) she couldn't do anything about it. So I called the number they have hanging on the walls and the girl with customer service said that the only thing they could do is cut me a refund check and I'd have it within 7-10 days. I told her that was not acceptable to me. I came in and paid with cash and I expect to get my refund now. She said that they could not do that. I gave her my information and told her that I expect to have this check in 7 days or I'm contacting an attorney and hung up.

I then turned back to the manager and told her that they need to hire experienced people who know how to cut hair.By the way, the manager had her 13 month old son in there this morning while she worked. I hope I made a scene and people listened to what I was saying and they never go back. I will NEVER step foot into another one of the salons and I have to say that I'm very disappointed in Regis. I used a Regis salon when I lived in another state for both myself and my sons' hair cuts and never had a problem.

This company hires rude, inexperienced and unprofessional people to cut your hair. NEVER go there. I know I'll never return!
