Reliable Remodeler continues billing clients!

My contracting company was listed with Reliable Remodeler for about two years. Few, if any, of their so-called "qualified" leads were ever any more than potential customers looking for prices before deciding they could live with whatever their problem had been.in some actual cases, people needed estimates for damage to submit to their insurance company, then would fix the damage themselves.

Reliable Remodeler always claimed that they had called to verify a lead was authentic, and that I had no cause to bitch to them.in one such case, the call had been made by the homeowner's seventeen-year-old son, who thought their kitchen would look cool with new cabinets and countertops. (P.S.: They had very little money.)

The final straw was when Reliable Remodeler instituted their new policy of charging monthly membership fees even when no leads had been presented or accepted by member contractors. When notice of this policy was sent to their members, I logged into my account and deleted my credit card from my account profile. Unfortunately, that did precious little, as they still retained my billing info in their database and I got charged anyway. I fired off an email telling them to stop billing me "at once" and to remove me from their database. This did the trick and evidently is what I should have done long ago. They replied that I would be off by the end of the day. Oh, and one more thing: When I told them I'd dispute the charge with the c.C. Company, the Reliable Remodeler rep. Replied that he'd just show them their "terms and conditions". To me, that is a lousy way to do business and it is the #1 reason why people post bad news about Reliable Remodeler on this website.
