A New Concepts Modeling And Acting Agency
Agency is a SCAM! Took money from me and I just moved here for college. I hate this!

So I just moved to San Diego from Maui, Hawaii, to go to college at Mesa. I was looking for a job on craiglist I came across an ad saying that they are hiring extras in movies, and the pay is really good (25 - 50 an hour). I had a feeling that it was too good to be true, but none the less I gave them my phone number and name. They gave me a call so I decided to go in and see what it was all about. I thought that I might have nothing to lose, WRONG!!! (but more on that later).

So I get in there and everyone and everything seems legit. I get into the meeting with a lady named Jenny Gray, she seems really nice says she's from Hawaii originally. She tells me the first step is to get head shots and they cost $60. I immediatley thought no way do I have money for this right now. So I tell her that I'll give her a call in a week or so. After talking to my parents they said that they would pay for it so I give her a call and go in and get some headshots taken only like 15 pictures taken. A week later they give me a call and tell me that my head shots are done and that I should come in. So I go in and they show me the head shots. They had chosen one that they thought would be good for me so I agree. They tell me I'll need to pay them $300 for a registration fee thing so that they can send my name to directors and casting directors. I tell them, "is there any way I can wait a little bit until I get some money to spend on stuff like this?" the lady kinda loudly and harshly says, "NO! You need to do it now or else you won't be able to have your head shots and you'll have to start all over." so I thought OK this is just standard I guess, I mean I have never done anything like this before, so I didn't know any better."

So I gave her my card and she took out the $300 and what she did was go through PayPal, which I thought was kinda strange. So I leave after she gives my NOTHING. I wait for a few weeks because they say that they'll call me in a few days with more info. I call almst everyday just to get an answering machine that says that the message box is full. SO I CAN'T EVEN LEAVE A MESSAGE! Then finally I get a call from someone like 4 weeks after I went in. I happened to be back on Maui when they call so I tell them I'll give them a call when I get back.

So the very next day after I get back to San Diego I give them a call on the number they give me. No answer. So I jump on the computer and look for their website thinking that I might have the wrong number. I put there name on Google. The first thing that popped up was a YouTube video. The video was about a newscaster that goes to the company and starts investigating saying that people are getting money taken from them without any calls back or results.

I am getting more and more angry by the second. So I decide that I am going to confront them face to face. When I get to the building walk up to there office and what do I see? Of course they have closed up shop. I look inside and there are 3 guys painting the walls. That is when I realize that I have just been a victim of FRAUD.

I need help trying to figure out what to do next. If you know what I should do. Let me know please! Thank you
