Ripped off in NY office, we signed up both our kids on 8/3/05. We paid for photos every 6 months

On 8/3/05 both my husband and I met with an employee at Kids.com, Mr. Lee Bodenmiller. We sat through a presentation and after having our questions answered we decided to sign their contract agreement for both our children. We were shown portfolios of children who were in print ads, TV commercials, motion pictures and the like who received these assignments as a result of signing up with Kids.com.

We originally planned to only sign up our daughter, but we were convinced to sign up both of our children and 'benefit from a discounted rate.' We paid $700.00 cash and received a receipt and copy of the contract. The contract was to be in force for 5 years. We heldup our end of the contract by having professional photos taken every 6 months by a designated studio of their choosing. We were not allowed to use other professional photos we may have recently purchased for other purposes.

We never received a single phone call regarding our daughter. We did receive two calls for my son and we took him into NYC for an appointment; we never heard anything further. On 8/4/06, a year into our contract, I called and spoke with Mr. Bodenmiller expressing my discontent for not receiving a single call regarding my daughter. He reminded me to keep up with new photos every 6 months of both kids as this is very important. He also told me that choosing the "right" photo was extremely important.

We were obviously scammed. This makes me so mad that they can get away with this kind of thing and we are out hundreds of dollars plus the cost of the photos.
