Defective Mattress not Honoring Warranty

On 7/14 purchased a Kingsdown King Size mattress set. Within a month the mattress began squeaking and making spring noises. It is now 10/22/07 and I have been chasing Sleepys for service for over six weeks. I called customer service to open a case. The young lady wouldn't open a case because mattresses didn't/couldn't squeak. It took over seven requests for a supervisor. Got one. She finally opened a case to send someone out. Ten (10) days later a person named Andrew from the inspection co called. I called back within hours. Two weeks later no response. Called the store and got a DM. He looked at the records and stated the inspector called and spoke with my wife only days before. Unfortunately, I have no wife, children or dog that can answer the phone. But, have an answering machine, backup voice mail with Comcast and a cell. Today 10/22 @ 1:20PM I called the store in question. The young lady running the store told me not to call the store. Only customer service. She also stated that once the problem was turned over to the inspection co. It was no longer Sleepys problem. I stated that they (Sleepys) sold the mattress set and they are responsible.

I had told Sleepys that if they continued to ignore my pleas I would contact my CC co and dispute the charge. I have subsequently disputed the charge.

All I have to show for this experience is a sore back and a lousy mattress. And a company (Sleepy) who refuses to honor their product warranties. And nothing but, grief and aggravation.
