Ripping off houston texas

Reliant energy and TXU energy should be audited or the FTC should check on their dealings because the two electric energy company in houston rip people off of thier hard earned money. I left the house on august 24 came back in october 9. Reliant energy brought a bill of $81.22 saying i used up 81.22 during the month of Sep 06 -October 05. I called them to inform them of the fact that i was not home during the timeframe. Thier response was they were going to get someone to reread the meter. I was later sent another letter confirming the 81.22 was the actual amount i shld be charged because i used up the electricity. There is something shady about texas electric energy company. Is there no regulations that controls this companies. We need to have some people or regulations to back consumer up against all this energy company in houston or generally in texas
