A recruiter lie? Never

Shops, Products, Services

I was warned the entire time being new, don't listen to the recruiters, they will tell you anything to get you in. I didn't want to believe it, but boy, was I wrong. If you ever think about going with Covenant, and have the pleasure of dealing with a recruiter Teresa Miller, get everything in writing.

Before I got my go ahead to come in, because of a medicine I was taking, I needed a note from the doctor from back when I was cleared to go back to work. My school sent it in not once, but twice, being she was known for misplacing things. I called her back and she said everything was fine to come in.

I questioned her one more time to make sure she didn't need anything else. She said nope, come on in. I went through orientation. Monica who did orientation said if you had to get medical clearence and you get your physical back with an employee number, then you are good to go. I got mine back. I was happy.

Last day, we went to Personnel to sign paperwork and lo and behold I needed a medical clearence. I told them that Ms. Miller said everything was okay which is the only reason why I took the bus ride to TN for orientation. So, I assume since everyone blames the recruiter, they called her up to face me, to see if I would still blame her. When we did, she hurried us into an office so nobody else could hear. This woman could not backtread any quicker.

She tried telling me employment was not guarenteed since we had to make it through orientation. I said I passed everything and this was the only thing to hold me back in getting a job. I questioned her since she says she got my medical cleared by "someone".

I asked who "someone" was. Of course she babbled and did not know. I made it simple. I asked was it male or female?

I was sent home to get my clearence. My doctor finally signed off. Sent everything in. It was not good enough for them. I asked if they were quoting the law and if so which statute. They kept saying DOT regulations. According to DOT regulations, I am clear.

Now someone on their staff is playing doctor making all kinds of things up. As to the frequency I need to have bloodwork done. She says every other week and it is not true. It is every 4-5 weeks. Now being we would get one day off for every week out, I would have my time saved for one day at the doctors.

I quoted the exact statute and the wording. Then I get an email from Ms. Miller since I sent the email to everyone I had been dealing with including the Owner of the company. Did he write back? No, but she did, without copying anyone wanting my number to call me. I told her she can email me. Heck, I learned, get everything in writing.

Now, I am looking into with the ADA maybe or an attorney to see if I have a case maybe.

Anyone have any suggestions? I am open to hearing them.
