Don't do it!

We also got hooked into this scam. We had a good alarm company, but got the high pressure sales pitch of this free system. We were also told that if there was a cancellation fee from our current provider that it would be covered. We did get an early termination fee and we contacted the salesman. We were surprised when we received a 200.00 personal check from the salesman reimbursing us for the cancel fee we inccured. We deposited the check, paid off the bill for the early term fee and about a week later received a copy of the check back from the bank letting us know that our account was CHARGED because the check was rejected, account closed. We haven't even had the system a month and I've been charged 145.00... 44.99 first month (within 2 days of the system going in) and 99.99 3 days ago for the installation fee... I called and they said, oh sorry, that should've been wavied, we'll reimburse that.
I don't know if they are lisc.in CA but I'm going to find out. Has anyone gotten out of the contract in CA?
