Selling puppies with congenital problems, does not refund

Stay away from this pet shop, they are selling dogs with congenital problems and they are not telling the consumer of the extent of what these hereditary conditions could do. AND DONT BE FOOLED BY THE INSURANCE GIMMICKS! The store will just go out of business and open up under a new name or change the owners name and you get nothing but stress! I recently bought a puggle and she had inguinal hernia surgery done by the breeder or PUPPY MILL who knows. The girls in the store started off with a price of $2600.00 then came down to a $1,000.00 within 30 minutes. They would not take a deposit, only payment in full. Which was odd. I didn't feel right and should have just left, should have. I couldn't pick up the dog until Wednesday, so in the meantime I called my vet and questioned this hernia issue, he said "this is congenital and I should not get the puppy she will most likely have other problems and she would not be able to have puppies either, because of little muscle in her abdomen.

I called the pet store and told them I was not picking her up and I wanted a refund as they did not tell me this was congenital and I did not want a sick dog. I didn't even pick up the dog she was not even cleared by their vet she still had stitches and was being kept in a back room.

All of this and they are not returning my calls. I called American Express and they are investigating the issue. The odd thing to this story is my husband thought this place looked just like the pet store we purchased our lab from 12 yrs ago, AND IT WAS! Except the old store was on RTE 22 in Scotch PLains and they went out of business 1 yr after we bought her. And my poor lab suffered with health issues her whole life, the veternarians couldn't even help her.

We spent about $10,000.00 trying to make her more comfortable, sadly she passed in April. Although we loved our lab and I don't think anyone should have to go what we have and I refused to let this pet shop get a nickel of my money.
