I activated my worldcom Wireless service in June. I had not recieved a bill from these people until the Middle of October (in which I owed Hundreds on both my and my wifes account).

They stated that bills were being sent monthly to me but they were experiencing billing problems due to the "911" happenings. That's pretty bold! Blame it on terrorism! And also does not explain what happened to the bills from 6/26 to October.

Well in all the confusion, I paid what they said I owed. Then another bill came in november, but that was the last bill untill April or May when they Mass billed me again, w / a Big "pay this amount or we'll cut you off" notice.

My wifes bill for her phone never came and service was disconnected the day after I recieved my bill. After disconnecting her phone, a "check by phone was made to pay the arrears, and took over 11 days to re-establish service on her phone (under a different # because they had already given her # away, but this is another story in itself).

Long story short, My contract was up on June 23. I called in to tell these jerks not to "automatically renew my contract". They said that I couldn't do that, and If I didn't call back in to cancel on the ending day of my contract that they would ASSUME that i wanted to renew it for a year. Ok Ok, I called in on the 23rd and cancelled it...

No Problem huh? Yeah Right, These cheap basterds are still charging me, but now it seems like they have their billing problems straight because now my bills are getting to me in a timely manner. TOO BAD I CANCELLED SERVICE 2 1/2 MONTHS AGO! Look, I'm a Verizon Employee and I know that we have our problems but next to MCI/Worldcom we are Perfect!
