I have never had to deal with a business where it is ok to harrass, interrogate, and verbally abuse the customer.

I signed a 36 month contract with The Alarm Center on 1/15/07 and moved on 8/17/07. Since I was moving I had canceled services. I called The Alarm Center on 8/13 and spoke with Angela/Angie. She said there was no penalty to cancel and all I needed to do was submit a Notice of Termination and on the notice note that I would refer them as the Monitoring Comany of choice. I did that via fax on 8/13 at 2:07 PM. At this point from my conversation with The Alarm Center the contract was now canceled.

I then decided to have new service installed into my new home and that was set up to be installed on 8/20. When getting that service arranged I was harrassed into purchasing service/items I did not want. I received a follow-up call on 8/17 trying to sell me items again and to confirm installation. (I had already put a deposit of $150 down for the installation.)
On 8/20 I called to alert The Alarm Center the home was not pre-wired as I was told and that I wanted to cancel the installation.

I spoke with an employee named Ross on 8/20 to cancel the service and refund the deposit. He was insistant that I have the serice installed and i kept telling him "No" he continued to say that I was now in breach of my contract and that I need to speak with Tom Taylor.
On 8/21 I spoke with Tom Taylor he said he would refund the deposit since no new service was installed and I did not sign a new contract. He then added that I needed to pay the remainder of the 36 month contract, which I thought was canceled.

I was mislead and they recided what they told me earlier on the telephone. At this point I was not satisfied with the company as a whole. I told Tom they advertise "Satisfaction Guarenteeed or Your Money Back" and was not satisfied. He continued to bully me into paying the remainder the the 36 month contract for services I will not be receiving any longer.
Everything was ok until I decided not to have service installed into my new home. Once I canceled the service installation they decided to go back on their verbal committment.

1. I paid a installation deposit and The Alarm Center was ready to install the new service and have me sign a new 36 month contract.

3. They falsly advertise..."satisfaction guarenteed"
I contacted the Baton Rouge Better Business Bureau and The Alarm Center said they had refunded the deposit of $150 (which they have) further they still noted they will hold me to the 36 month contract (that was already canceled on 8/17 per my submitting the Notice of Termination). They they began unlawfully stating my personal/confidential business to others.

The Alarm Center also stated they installed the system at a discounted their upfront price at my old location. Yet, they were going to do the same thing at my new location. Since I canceled the new installation they are decided to go back on their cacelation on the old contract. This just is a scheme to make more money from consumers.
