Deception fraud, fraud, scam, scam moving company avoid Ripoff

This is an additional complaint for BBB complaint number 5244643 against mark the mover. Also visit for additional complaints against MARK THE MOVER.

I have been dealing with MARK THE MOVER for my move to my new apartment. I gave them an initial two weeks in advance warning for my move, which was supposed to be on Saturday July 7th. I then received a last minute phone call from Ben on Friday the 6th stated we have to cancel this weekend move due to another issue with a move they were, I asked him when can I expect my delivery, he informed 'sometime next week, the week of Monday July 8th. I then called them to check on my delivery status and they said Saturday July 14th or Sunday July 15th.

I received no phone calls on Saturday with a delivery status the driver said he came trying to call one number which my work but my cell/mobile number which was on the work order was not called until Sunday morning at 8:00AM. The driver informed that something had spilled onto my mattress and box spring from what he called vinegar from a Microwave box, I said great!

They finally arrived with my furniture thrown in the back of a dirty moving truck, I watched as my smashed in boxes came off the truck and noticed that some of the boxes had water damage on it and were still wet, the side of my couch was all wet with water damage, the side of my mattress was all discolored and wet with water damage and so was the box spring, as I removed the very loose covering of plastic I noticed all of these little ants were on the mattress and box spring. The driver said I would have not accepted the mattress and box spring in that condition.

The glass top for my coffee table was in a box, broken into pieces. As far on the vinegar coming from a Microwave box, I don't see how this could be true because my brand new Microwave oven did not make the trip up on the truck so I am minus one Microwave Oven.

This has to be worst moving experience I have ever had to deal with and I have moved more than one time before.

Now Sophie from MARK THE MOVER Movers are trying to deny any of this from happening this morning and told me as of today 07/17/07 to send pictures and their insurance company will be contacting whenever.

Meanwhile I am with a bed to sleep on and I have a possible Ant invasion in my new apartment.
