Model Talent Network - Photograhers R Us - Talent Model Network Poor Services, Poor Organization, Pushy Sales, Reacurring Phone Calls & Hassled over the phone till I agreeed to pick pictures up. Ripoff

I am writing to let people know about this company. Talent Model Network, is a company that i would never deal with again! If you have seen this ad on Craigs List - Open Call models needed make 1500 - 3000 a day. These people are the middle man. They get you to come in and take pictures using their photographer so you have to spend money. This is what happened to me.

I went with a friend and my son who was 4 months old at the time. It's really a lot for me to travel with an infant into the city so i am glad my friend came. I live in NJ so it's not to far of a bus ride. When you have a baby with you it's a lot to bring. We went to this agency, where we filled out this short paper work. Then sat in a long narrow hallway till this lady came to get us. We go in the office and she tells me that he is adorable and would be great as a baby model etc. She tells me that it will cost 150 for them to do a shoot, and i would get comp cards and head shots as well as the cd.

As hesitant as i was about doing this I thought that it would be a great opportunity for my son to have his college fund all ready for him. The pictures were taken on June 29th, I was told i would have to come back the next week to view the pictures. That was a very busy week for me, so i actually went the following week on July 14th.

I viewed the pictures on this little tiny screen, I was told by this man that i had to pick 5 shots. It was really hard for me to do, but i did it. I wrote the numbers down and gave them to the guy, I was told i would get a call when they came in.

So 3 weeks go by and i didn't hear anything so on Friday, Aug 10th I called to see what the deal was. I asked how long it takes to get pictures in and i was told 1 1/2 weeks. So i asked if my pictures were in and I was told I would get a call back because they had to look. I didn't hear back for a while so i called again and i was told that they couldn't find them.

So at this point I explained when i was in to take the pictures and when i ordered them. The girl was really nice, and said that she had to speak to the photographer and for me to call tomorrow when he was in. I did that, and still no answers on why my pictures weren't in or if they were ever ordered.

I called again on Monday and there was still no answer, so i ended up speaking to the boss or guy in charge, and explained my situation, that I wanted a Refund because I couldn't use the pictures that they took since it was when my son was 4/5 months and he is now 6 1/2. He said that, there is no refunds, he told me he would find out what happened and call me back.

Tuesday Aug 14th i get a call from Talent Model Network saying my pictures were in, and that i could come in and pick them up. I asked to speak to the boss or guy in charge to find out what had happened and why i was told they weren't in or couldn't be found and now all of a sudden they appeared. When i spoke to the guy in charge again, I was told that i can come and get my pictures, I then went into explaining that i couldn't use them and that i couldn't understand why my pictures suddenly appeared. I told him that i would like a refund, because the services that i was supposed to be provided weren't met and I still didn't have an answer on what had happened. He said that he wouldn't give me a refund because the pictures are there and they are beautiful and he has people that are looking for my son for modeling.

I wasn't satisfied and told him i would be contacting my credit card company for a refund. I ended the call. Then my phone rang again it was him and he said that why would i want a refund for work they did and are not going to get paid for. I again asked him what had happened with my order and that i called the day before and was told they weren't in he said that when he was on the phone with me they were right in front of him, i said i wasn't told they were found i was told they weren't ordered, he said that he called me, an i was home all day and no call was made to me, then he said he left a message.

I told him I wasn't taking the pictures and again ended the call. My phone rang again and this time under a different name than talent model network. It was him again and he was very persistent on me agreeing that I come get the pictures, so finally i agreed just to get off the phone with him. It's very hard to talk to a person who doesn't let you talk, and by that time i was really fed up.

I ended up contacting my credit card company. Things just didn't seem right. It wasn't professional for him to talk to me way that he did and call me 3 times while being very pushy until i agreed to pick up the pictures. I explained everything to the credit card company and they are freezing their account for the money i paid until this issue is resolved. It will take up to 30 days to get my money back but it is well worth it.

I am writing this to let people out there know about this place. It wasn't till yesterday that I looked this company up online and saw other complaints. I wish i did it sooner.
