Beware of over statements and false claims COLORADO

This company markets reports to various industries including the mortgage industry for a publication named "Mortgage Lending Compliance Alert."

Their telemarketing offers a 60 day "Free Trial." At the very end of the call they say that the free trial will be invoiced, but you can write on the invoice that you want to cancel and they will immediatly cancel.

Next the invoice comes in within a couple of days over $200 higher than quoted and due in 30 days. I immediately sent a cancel request. Soon the "Past Due" notices arrived and by the way, no newsletter issues to review during the Free Trial.

Finally the first issue arrived. Being already unimpressed, I returned the first issue. Past due notices continued to arrive.

Repeated phone calls were made and my call history was logged. I was treated courtiously and told that a credit would be given and that invoiceing would discontinue.

The newsletter issues stopped after returning the second issue, but our invoices have been elevated to "Further Action" whatever that means.

You can check their web site for yourself and see that they clearly promote and ease of cancellation and satisfaction. If you want to avoid credit collection threats, it is in your best interest to not susbscribe to any of their publications.
